So I need to get rid of some hats, and these are all $15 except the green hat and the TARDIS hat which are $20 and the crochet narwhal is $10.
If you like tighter hats, let me know cause I can put a little elastic in the band of some of them if they’re loose.
Ok ruby. How do I put these together without it looking stupid?
Do you have anything to sew with?
Or… I don’t know :(
I’m reblogging this on my crochet blog to hopefully get some crafty advice..
Mustache, or cable needle?
Starting work on Molly today, hopin’ it’s the autumn hat of my dreams.
Someone commissioned a baby hat today… something I’ve never attempted before.
I could’ve used bigger buttons, but I think it looks ok?
I love that! Do you have a pattern?
I made it up, and I don’t have the time right now to write out a proper pattern, but this is the general idea.
Needles: size 6 for ribbing, 8 for the rest.
CO 80 st
*k1 p1* all the way around for 8 rows.
The rest is just plain knit stitches.
I switched colors after 8 rows of light grey and 3 rows of dark a total of 5 times. So total that’s 8 rows of k1 p1, and 55 rows of knitting all the way around while alternating colors.
At the very top of the hat, the last 2 rows I put a little eyelet every other stitch (I’m newish at knitting so I just googled to figure out how to do it?) Then I did a crochet chain and weaved it through the eyelets so i can wear it untied as a cowl or tied up in a slouchy hat. I guess you could also braid something to put through there or find a ribbon if you don’t know how to crochet a chain.
I don’t know if you’ll understand what I’m saying, but if you need me to write it out better later I can try!
Finally finished a knit hat that’s been in my “finish later” pile for at least a month.
However, it was worth finishing. I love hats that I can stick my hair through, and I like the stripe sizes I ended up with.
So far, 3 hats have been ordered!
Once they’re all ready to be sent and paid for, that’s $15 toward Zim’s mom’s surgery!

Old hat almost gone, new hat almost finished.
Saying goodbye to one well-loved, but now ill-fitting crochet hat and saying hello to a new knit hat.
Hopefully it will be just as loved.
Ok there’s been interest for a pattern for the Octopus.
I’m nearing finals week right now, so it might take a bit.
Bear with me, I’ll get it done!
hard to tell, but i learned how to knit cables
